Any Washer. Any Need. Douglas Machines offers a full line of commercial and industrial washers for all containers commonly used in the bakery, meat, poultry, food processing, packaging and distribution industries.

More than 80 standard commercial and industrial washing machines exist to quickly and efficiently clean pans, trays, totes, moulds, scale parts, screens, pallets, lugs, racks, barrels, smoke trucks, bins, vats, barrels and buckets.

Batch and continuous cleaning washers are available for several hundred to several thousand containers an hour. We have offered a full line of commercial and industrial washers to the food and distribution industries for over 30 years.

SCALE PARTS WASHERS:

Developed in cooperation with manufacturers of multi-head weighers, Douglas Machines’ scale parts washers are designed to quickly and efficiently clean detachable scale parts such as weigh and feed buckets, chutes and feeder pans. Specialized wash racks can be loaded at the weigh station and transported to the washer for easy cleaning. Douglas Machines’ scale parts washers can be used with a ramp or installed in a pit or mezzanine for floor level loading/unloading.

Regardless of the model, each Douglas Machines’ scale parts washer features a recirculating detergent wash tank and a separate, fresh water sanitizing rinse tank. Wash water is pumped through rotating spray arms fitted with high velocity stainless steel V jets designed to cut and remove stubborn soils. Wash cycles are selected from a short, medium or long sequence (4, 6 or 8 minutes) depending on soil conditions.

Each wash cycle is followed by a 30 second hot water, sanitizing rinse. The rinse water is routed back into the wash tank for reuse and to help freshen it. An optional steam extraction fan vacates the steam before the door is opened. Filters collect debris and keep the nozzles from clogging. Machines are equipped with electric, gas or steam booster heaters to maintain proper operating temperatures.

The ideal Douglas Machines’ scale parts washer for you depends on the quantity of heads on your weigh scale, the desired wash time, space limitations and budget considerations. Choose from Douglas Machines’ list of 3 standard scale parts washers below.

Douglas Machine Model 2554-SPW: The Douglas Machine Model 2554-SPW Scale Parts Washer is designed to quickly and efficiently clean scale parts such as weigh and feed buckets, chutes, funnels, feed pans and other detachable items. Specialized wash racks of this Douglas Machine model can be loaded at the weigh station and transported to the washer for easy cleaning. Racks are available for all types and sizes of scales and are designed to protect the parts during cleaning and extend their lifetime. Douglas Machine Model HD-12-SPW: The HD-12-SPW serves as a practical alternative to full size scale parts washers when space and budget is limited or in cases when a client has a modest number of weigh scales. By mounting specialized slide-in, slide-out wash racks on transport dollies, parts can be conveniently transported from the weigh scale to the washer. This innovative feature protects the parts during transfer and extends their lifespan by reducing the number of times parts are handled. Plus the HD-12-SPW eliminates the need to cut a hole to recess the machine in the mezzanine, dig a pit or use a ramp.
